Combat is essentially a rhythm-based minigame in which you time your attacks to deal maximum damage. To shoot those pesky zoms you'll need to press fire as a reticle moves across the screen from left to right at varying speeds. However, a more interesting aspect of the game was the core battle mechanic which sees Gaiden shifting into first-person mode upon Barry’s contact with zombies. Visually, Gaiden is perhaps the most unique game on this list, featuring a top-down 2D aesthetic that, frankly, didn’t really suit the survival horror tone of the franchise. Bastion needs a rework in general, so he's not just such a one trick pony, but making him a split hero just makes sense to me. Then it would try to make sense of random centaur savages in KF as well as merge the gap between angel IS/KF decks if you wanted to go that way. both have angels, both have barbarians, both have paladins. Bastion would be better off as the IS/KF split hero. A Barbarian Angel Paladin ? If we are going to pretend that an angel/paladin/barbarian hodge podge lazy thrown together rune was a good idea, lets at least make it less of a one trick pony. but it makes more sense then 80% of the split heroes out there. I dont mind if you'd rather he wasnt considered to be a split hero. believe it or not are not the same topic. Him making sense as a IS/KF rune making sense and you not wanting him to be a split. ”- You guys are turning a blind eye to the littany of split heroes that have way less synergy or purpose then what bastion would brind to IS/KF which seems obviously linked. He can pull off 60 dmg in a turn fairly easily as well (which is as much as you really need to 1 round). My advice would be get used to using the Archangel. Just be aware of when he stops working for you and think about how you change your deck considering his absence. I'm just convinced that development, new and old, are not currently interested in changing him so he gets to sit there as a gimic rune that creates a game of cat and mouse when deployed.Īs with any rune, if he works for you, then great, use him. Theres been endless valid suggestions on how to make him better based more around multi attack and/or incite rather than devestate. a faction hero, getting reworked into a split hero rune? About the only connection there is angel, and while that is a strong one, this is stretching reality a bit.
